I have been on staff at Round Prairie since March of 2016. I have been married to my wife Julie since 2001 and we have 3 great kids: Caleb, Joshua, and Lily. While Julie is from Fairfield originally, I am a move in and originally from Maydelle, TX. I have been in ministry since 2003 and have served in churches in Arkansas and Texas. I started in ministry at Round Prairie as a youth pastor. I attended the BMA seminary in Jacksonville, TX and received my M.A. in Church Ministries I have a passion to see the church on mission for the Great Commission. I believe that every member is a minister, therefore I believe that every Christian has been gifted specifically in order to accomplish God’s plans. My hobbies include flying, traveling with my family, and watching college football.
Chris Owen
Worship Pastor
I joined the staff at Round Prairie in May of 2016. My wife, Jackie, and I have been married since 2003 and are blessed to have 3 amazing children: Elijah, Hadassah, and Naomi. I grew up in Corsicana, Texas and my wife grew up in Fairfield. I attended the University of Mary Hardin-Baylor and graduated in 2003 with a B.A. in Religion. Since 2003, I have served as a bi-vocational Minister of Music, Worship Pastor, and Youth Minister. In addition, I received M. Ed from the University of Texas at Tyler in Educational Leadership and Administration. I currently teach Pre-Calculus and Algebra II at Fairfield High School. The blessing of knowing Christ Jesus personally is the passion that stirs my heart to worship and lead others to his throne.
Jeff Wright
Discipleship Pastor
I came on staff at Round Prairie in January 2019 as the Discipleship Pastor. In June 2016, I married the love of my life, Betsy. We make our home here in Fairfield with our two dogs, Chester and Winnie. I teach social studies and theatre at Fairfield High School. I have taught at FISD since August 1999. Before coming to RPBC, I pastored 24 years at Northside Baptist Church in Mexia. I grew up in Mexia and graduated from MHS in 1988. I earned a BS in History from the University of Texas at Tyler in 1995 and an MA in Military History with a concentration in World War II from American Military University in 2014. I'm grateful to be a part of what is going on here at Round Prairie. God desires that every believer be a disciple of our Lord. Please let me know how I can help you along your journey.
Betsy Wright
Children Ministry Team Coordinator
My husband and I joined Round Prairie in January of 2019. Jeff and I have been married since 2016. Before marrying Jeff and moving to this area, I lived in Dallas and Tyler where I was a teacher and school counselor. I have a B.A. in communication from Baylor University and a M.A. in counseling from Amberton University. I’ve worked with children for over 20 years in both the school and community setting. I love having the opportunity to build relationships and share the love of Christ with kids. In addition to my role at Round Prairie, I am the assistant principal at Fairfield Elementary School.
